In my review of the VSETT 11+, I compared this to NOS (otherwise known as nitrous oxide) \u2013 a sneaky feature you could use to supercharge your speed in the classic game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. This is the case with all electric scooters (you can read more about this in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electricscooterinsider.com\/long-range-electric-scooters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>long-range scooter guide<\/strong><\/a>). Combined with its swingarms the system <strong>facilitates a deep level of suspension<\/strong>.<\/p><p>As a result, it is perfectly suited to urban terrain and can soak up the challenges of forest trails, dirt tracks, and hiking paths. They just never seem to be enough, and while the 10+R\u2019s setup is <strong>adequate for nighttime riding<\/strong>, you\u2019ll certainly benefit from attaching an extra headlight to the handlebars. Alternatively, you could opt for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electricscooterinsider.com\/electric-scooters\/reviews\/wolf-warrior-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Wolf Warrior<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electricscooterinsider.com\/electric-scooters\/reviews\/wolf-king-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Wolf King<\/strong><\/a>, or even the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.electricscooterinsider.com\/electric-scooters\/reviews\/vsett-11-plus-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>VSETT 11+<\/strong><\/a>, which serve up the brightest headlights around.<\/p><p>The headlight also suffers from a separate issue that\u2019s related to its placement.<\/p><p>It is located on the front fender, directly above the tire. This causes the light to bounce up and down when the suspension is pressed causing the front fender to be tilted backward at an angle. Most (and here I\u2019m looking at you, the Zero 10X and Apollo Pro models) just stick to button lights.<\/p><p><strong>The 10+R is also one of just a handful of scooters to have turn signals<\/strong>. Not only that but \u2013 since they\u2019re located on the front and back of the scooter, rather than the side \u2013 they\u2019re far more effective than those on the VSETT 11+.<\/p><h3>Folding Handlebars for Enhanced Portability<\/h3><p>Combining style with portability, the folding handlebars collapse inward, making the scooter <strong>easier to store and carry compared to other high-performance models<\/strong>.<\/p><p>It shares this feature with the rest of the VSETT lineup, except for the 11+ because of the sheer size and unadulterated bulk of the thing. Foldable handlebars aren\u2019t a feature you see on scooters similar to the 10+R, such as the Wolf Warrior, Zero 10X, or Apollo Pro.<\/p><h3>Wave Goodbye to Collar Clamps, Say Hello to a Secure Triple Stem Locking Mechanism<\/h3><p>Collar clamps. Two words bound to strike uncertainty into the heart of many seasoned scooter enthusiasts. This new mechanism from VSETT, however, is <strong>as solid as a rock, so you\u2019ll never feel as though you\u2019re lacking stability when riding at high speeds<\/strong>. It would have been nice to see this on the 11+ too but you can\u2019t have it all.<\/p><h3>IP54 Water Resistance Rating<\/h3><p>Like the rest of the VSETT range, it comes with an IP54 water resistance rating. This certification means the scooter is <strong>splash-proof from all angles<\/strong>.<\/p><p>This is a super handy credential to boast, although it\u2019s made even more impressive by the fact that water resistance ratings aren\u2019t nearly as common as they should be in the world of high-performance scooters. None of Dualtron\u2019s or INOKIM\u2019s scooters sport them, and it\u2019s a glaring omission even on scooters of as high a caliber as the ever-popular Mantis.<\/p><p>However, it is important to bear in mind that water damage isn\u2019t covered under warranty. This solely refers to damage that\u2019s the fault of the manufacturer; anything you do to the scooter is unlikely to be covered. That includes wear and tear, and any issues that are the result of accidents, collisions, abuse, or modifications to the scooter.<\/p><p>Labor may also come at an additional cost. So, even if the damage itself is covered under warranty, you might still wind up getting slapped with a bill for any replacement or repair required. (This is common for electric scooter warranties).<\/p><p>One more thing \u2013 water damage isn\u2019t covered. Fortunately, you shouldn\u2019t have to worry about this as the IP54 rating is there for a reason, but it\u2019s still worth keeping in mind when hitting the streets on a rainy day.<\/p><p>REV Rides also provides the option for you to <strong>extend your warranty<\/strong> through third-party product protection company Extend. One year of additional warranty costs $479, two years is $749, and three years will set you back $999.<\/p><h3>Post-Purchase Support<\/h3><p>REV Rides has a range of support resources on its website, which include FAQs, and a Service Center (which is a form through which you can request technical support for your scooter). They also provide advice and tutorials free of charge and have a YouTube channel where they post the occasional video showing you how to care for and maintain your scooter.<\/p><p>On the Rev Rides website, they state that \u201cIf the customer isn't 100% satisfied with their unit, we will do everything we can to make the situation right.\u201d Recently, I had a call with Nathan, the Founder of REV Rides. During our call, he ran me through how they quality check all their scooters (i.e. before they land on your doorstep) and it was clear that he very much puts the customer first and has a <strong>great customer support team<\/strong>. I only like to recommend retailers that I would personally buy from and have vetted.
