Wow, I love this scooter. The V2 is an updated of the GXL, but now I understand there is a newer version but with very little improvement. I can confirm that it is a truly 15.5 mph scooter for a 155 lb rider. The cruise control for the 2 set speed is a blessing. I measured the weight, 27.2 lb. The 8.5 inch pneumatic tires gives it a soft and controlled ride. I don’t recommend solid tires or smaller wheels because smaller wheels make the scooter less stable when you accelerate. What I also like about the scooter is that when it is folded, the tiller is parallel to the deck, which makes the scooter balanced in the middle. Finally, GoTrax provides a locking pin to keep the unfolded scooter from ever collapsing, but I felt very safe without using it.
