Summary:

Let's summarise how we feel about the Turboant M10 in a handful of words: it’s the best scooter under $500; it’s the best commuter scooter of the year; it’s the best scooter for new riders. Basically, it’s the best.

The reasons for our swooning are myriad, but it fundamentally comes down to value for money. Case in point: while many other models in its price category struggle to get beyond 15 mph, the M10’s single 350W rear hub motor can easily hit 20 mph, distinguishing this sturdy workhorse as a pound-for-pound purebred that melds power with practicality.

Josh on Turboant M10

$450 doesn’t go far these days – but when it comes to finding the perfect entry-level scooter for your everyday needs, spending that sum on the M10 constitutes a bargain that will keep paying dividends for years.

Turboant M10 Front Wheel

Why We Recommend It:

Perfect for beginners, this scooter delivers best-in-class ride quality, a lightweight frame, and exceptional portability – all while supplying enough chutzpah to get your adrenal glands pumping.

To keep the price low, budget scooter manufacturers often lower the bar when it comes to build, design, and features. But, what Turboant has managed to deliver is an excellent all-rounder that’s perfect for commuting and weekend adventures.

Turboant M10 Rear Pneumatic Tire

Make no mistake: the M10 has a snarling attitude. Its 20 mph top speed classifies it as one of the fastest scooters in its price class. Combined with a smooth acceleration that’ll take you from a standstill to 15 mph in 7.6 seconds, the M10 is perfectly primed for navigating busy city streets.

Of course, this is no match for a more expensive model like the Apollo Air 2022, which sports a 500W motor and delivers an acceleration rate that’s 25% faster, but what you lose in power, you make up in savings.

Turboant M10 Cockpit

It’s worth noting at this point that to hit its top speed, you will need to ride the M10 in Sport mode, which will grant you a realistic maximum range of around 11 miles. Put it in Eco mode, however, and the scooter’s 36V 7.5Ah battery will give you a reasonably impressive range of 18 miles off a single charge.

Turboant M10 Charging Port

When it comes to hills, the M10 isn’t exactly a mountain goat – but this won’t pose too much of a problem unless you live in San Francisco. It scales gradual slopes without hassle, which places most neighborhoods and commuter routes well within its scope.

Turboant M10 Rear Motor

As with all scooters in this price category, you don’t get any suspension, but the M10 does come with two juicy 10-inch air-filled tires that do a fine job of absorbing most of the shocks of the road. In fact, based on our tests, the M10 has the best ride quality of all electric scooters under $500.

Turboant M10 Tire

Elsewhere, the M10’s chart-topping ride quality is bolstered by a disc and electronic brake combination. This is a standard combination for scooters in its class. While it’s always desirable to have a brake on either wheel, we found that the rear-focused braking system worked well enough to safely bring the scooter to a complete stop. From a speed of 15 mph, we recorded a stopping distance of 4.9 meters. This is in line with comparable models.

Turboant M10 Rear Disc Brake

Now, the Turboant M10 is of course a budget scooter, so you’re not going to get a build quality akin to a premium model. That said, the frame is built from an aviation-grade aluminum alloy that is both lightweight and resistant to corrosion, and unlike the vast majority of other budget models, the handlebars are ever-so-slightly curved, meaning that they are angled back towards you. This elevates the ergonomics, whilst also ensuring excellent control. As for the deck, it measures 6 x 20 inches. It’s not the widest we’ve tested, but it gives you plenty of length to move both feet around and adjust your stance when necessary.

Turboant M10 Durable Frame

One of the M10’s key selling points – and a non-negotiable for most riders – is its portability credentials. Despite being as durable as a rhino, it weighs just 29.8 lbs, so carrying it upstairs isn't too much of an endurance test.

Turboant M10 Folded

Granted, it doesn’t have a telescopic stem or foldable handlebars, but the quick and straightforward folding mechanism goes some way in making up for this. It folds down quickly, creating a remarkably compact shape, with the stem clipping firmly to the rear fender to avoid any awkward unravelings. It’s small enough to be stored under a desk, in the trunk of a car, or kept out of sight in a storage room.

Turboant M10 Folded Frame

When it comes to unfolding the M10 and hitting the road, the central display on the handlebars will be a feature that you’ll rely on. This narrow LCD screen displays your riding mode, speed, and battery use. Two buttons also let you operate the high-mounted headlight and switch between riding modes. While this is a simple and effective system, it’s not so useful in direct sunlight.

Turboant M10 Display

Overall, the Turboant M10 is a budget scooter with the speed, acceleration, and robustness that puts many costlier models to shame. If you’re looking for a bargain that will breathe new life into your daily routine then the M10 is made for you.

Summary:

Adding the word ‘Max’ to a scooter comes with a heap of pressure. Expectations are raised, so you better have the specs to back up the flex. Thankfully, Turboant is a brand that knows its way around a scooter, so the X7 Max was always going to deliver on its promise.

And when we say it delivers, it really does. We rate the Max so highly in fact that we awarded it the title of the best overall electric scooter, as well as the best for adults in our 2022-23 Electric Scooter Insider Awards. That’s quite the trophy cabinet for a model that costs under $600. It raises the bar set by the much loved X7 Pro in a multitude of ways, though its sizzling top speed of 20 mph remains triumphantly in place.

Josh With Turboant X7 Max

Packed with a plethora of features – including a detachable battery, upgraded folding mechanism, spacious frame, dual braking system, and an easy-to-read LED display – the X7 Max is a bona fide bargain at $599.98.

Turboant X7 Max Rear Sweeping Design

Why We Recommend It:

The Turboant X7 Max is an upgrade of the hugely popular X7 Pro, so it had a strong base to build from. You get the same reliable ride and 20 mph top speed, but now it comes with a whole lot more. By carefully listening to customer feedback, the brand has taken what was already a great scooter and ramped everything up a notch.

Turboant X7 Max Pneumatic Tire

Let’s first look at that pace. While the 36V 350W motor is capable of the same 20 mph top speed as its little brother, the Max can get there marginally quicker. Its acceleration rate of 0-15 mph in 6.9 seconds means it’s 5% faster than the X7 Pro, and a whole 1.1 seconds quicker off the mark than the pricier GoTrax GMAX Ultra.

Being an excellent entry-level scooter, the X7 Max is designed with safety in mind. Its dual braking system includes a front electronic brake and a rear disc brake. This is particularly effective because braking power is applied to both wheels simultaneously. Additional improvements in the brake pad calibration mean that, from 15 mph, you’ll come to a complete stop in a laudable 3.0 meters (a big improvement over its predecessor's 5.0 meters). It’s worth noting that there’s no longer the tire-destroying fender stomp brake, while the brake cables have also been tidied up, delivering a much more reliable braking system.

Turboant X7 Max Disc Brake

You’re not going to get a suspension system on a scooter in this price category, but that doesn’t mean that the Turboant X7 Max is uncomfortable to ride. Its expansive handlebars, spacious deck, and 10-inch air-filled tires work in sweet, sweet harmony to ensure a smooth, balanced, and controlled ride. You’ll notice the lack of springs if you stray off the beaten track, but if used for its correct purpose (i.e. riding in urban environments), then the X7 Max is a delight to ride.

Turboant X7 Max Rear Tire

The part of the scooter you’ll likely be paying the most attention to as you ride will be the display. With the X7 Max, you get the same centrally-mounted LED screen built into the top of the stem as found on the X7 Pro. However, the interface has been updated to make the digits larger and easier to read at a single glance. Also on the handlebars, you’ll find the all-in-one ergonomic thumb throttle that can be used to easily modulate your speed, switch riding modes, and turn the lights on or off.

Close Up of Turboant X7 Max Handlebars

As you may be able to guess from the name ‘Max’, one of its key upgrades is the larger frame. The stem is 2.5 inches taller, the deck is longer and wider, and the newly tapered chassis allows for an extra inch of ground clearance.

Turboant X7 Max Deck

Paying special attention to the stem, it’s home to this scooter’s crowning glory – its detachable 10Ah battery. Unlike the X7 Pro, the one on the Max comes with a built-in key lock for added security. Detachable batteries are as rare as a dry day in Seattle, so to have one on a budget model is a steal.

Turboant X7 Max Battery Being Detached

There are a host of benefits that removable batteries bring to the table. Firstly, it makes charging easy; instead of taking the whole scooter to a power outlet, you only have to take the battery. Secondly, you can remove the battery from your scooter so thieves can’t pinch it. And perhaps most importantly of all, a removable battery means that you can extend the Max’s nominal range of 32 miles to 64 with the purchase of a spare (or, 18-36 miles if you ride in the fastest setting).

Turboant X7 Max Sleek Frame

Despite being larger and heavier than the previous model, the X7 Max still only weighs 34 lbs. It can easily be picked up in one hand, carried onto a bus, or placed in the trunk of your car. Plus, the updated frame and tapered deck give it a more aerodynamic aesthetic that makes it seem more compact. It’s also simpler to fold thanks to its superior folding mechanism. If you work in the city and you’re looking for an affordable, greener means of commuting, the X7 Max will be a great fit.

Turboant X7 Max Folded Frame

With so many fine-tunings and upgrades, the Turboant X7 Max is a 20 mph scooter that offers exceptional value for money. It looks great, is smooth to ride, and promises to raise a smile on the face of anyone who is looking for a reliable, spirited scooter that costs less than $600.

GoTrax G4
Award: Best Under $700

Motor Power, Speed & Acceleration:

Range:

Braking:

Weight & Load:

The Good:

The Bad:

Summary:

GoTrax is a brand known for playing the safe card. Its scooters are well-built, durable, and balanced – they also typically come with the roar of a kitten. The G4 is an interesting diversion away from this successful formula: it packs a bit of a punch.

GoTrax G4 Side Profile of Frame

Yes, it’s still a relatively gentle scooter, and yes, it’s great for riders new to the game; yet, with a plucky top speed of 20 mph, it’s also a tempting option for those who want to raise the stakes.

Feature-rich, reliably robust, and good on the eyes, the GoTrax G4 is a forward-thinking scooter that, though arguably less impressive than similar, lower-priced models, nevertheless delivers decent value.

Why We Recommend It:

Counting the likes of Turboant among your competition is a tough gig for a scooter brand. But with the G4, GoTrax is holding its own. A budget-friendly electric scooter with the speed and stamina to transform everyday A to B journeys into enjoyable jaunts is a description usually reserved for something like the Turbaont X7 Max, or M10, but it’s also wholly applicable here.

GoTrax G4 Handlebars From Rider's Point of View

The G4’s 350W motor isn’t going to leave your mouth as dry as a desert, but 20 mph isn’t exactly conducive to an oasis of calm, either. It's zippy in every sense of the word, easily eclipsing the average 15.5 mph top speed of Gotrax’s other budget models.

There is a caveat, however: the G4 is a kickstarter scooter, meaning its acceleration rate will potentially leave you feeling a little underwhelmed as you push off – expect a full 12 seconds to elapse before you reach top speed. But hey, look on the bright side: if you’re seeking a scooter to use on a busy urban commute, the slower acceleration curve is unlikely to prove to be a disadvantage. It’s got enough speed to be competitive in a cycle lane, while the gradual increase grants you extra control when holding down the throttle on bustling streets.

GoTrax G4 Rubber Handgrip

Besides, the G4 has a lot more to shout about than speed alone. Like the scooters featured before it on this list, you get a large pair of plush pneumatic tires. The air that fills them provides a satisfying cushion to absorb most of the shocks you’re likely to experience in built-up urban areas. We also found that the low center of gravity provided by the deck-mounted battery added a feeling of stability that proves handy when carving from side to side or gliding around a corner.

GoTrax G4 Plush Air-Filled Tire

To add to the sense of control, the G4 comes with two brakes – one on each wheel. At the front, you get an electromagnetic brake and at the back, there’s a mechanical disc. Both kick into action when the single hand-lever is pulled. By directing stopping power to both wheels, GoTrax has produced a responsive system that will bring you to a halt without skidding. Other versions of GoTrax scooters have suffered from poor braking due to a sole focus on braking power being funneled to the rear wheel alone, so it’s good to see that this has been updated to provide a smoother, sharper braking response.

GoTrax G4 Rear Disc Brake

As well as the brake lever, the handlebars feature a bell, thumb throttle, mode controls, and LED dashboard. The screen is large, easy to read, and shows all the necessary information such as speed, battery life, and distance. From the cockpit, you can also activate the cruise control, digital lock, and LED headlight (which could do with some support from an extra clip-on light).

GoTrax G4 Headlight

With this being a GoTrax scooter, you can be assured of its build quality. The sturdy frame is made from an aerospace-grade A6061 aluminum alloy, while all the cables are tucked neatly away to provide a professional finish that’s in it for the long haul. Elsewhere, the roomy deck grants lots of space for both feet and has a deeply treaded grippy rubber surface for extra safety.

GoTrax G4 Deck

And despite its solid appearance, the G4 only weighs 36 lbs, which is an ideal weight if you’re looking for a portable scooter. The simple one-click folding mechanism helps it collapse into its compact form quickly, and a straightforward catch protruding from the rear fender holds the folded stem securely in place.

GoTrax G4 Folded in Trunk

Although the G4 doesn’t quite wow us in the way that other budget scooters do, it’s still affordable, reliable, and satisfyingly quick. The inclusion of features like the IP54 water-resistance rating and cable lock also means you get more bang for your buck than with most scooters in this price bracket.

Turboant V8
Award: Best Under $800

Motor Power, Speed & Acceleration:

Weight & Load:

The Good:

The Bad:

Summary:

Turboant’s back again, and this time it’s intent on not just impressing your everyday rider – no, no, with the V8, it aims to fundamentally transform your expectations.

Josh on Turboant V8

Sure, it might look like something out of a dystopian sci-fi movie, but this is a certified A-lister that, when it comes to functionality and practicality, exudes a rarified beauty.

With a top speed of 20 mph and two – yes, two – batteries with one removable, the Turboant V8 is a blast from the future that has competitors scrabbling for a response. Priced at $799.98, it’s a scooter that will have you thinking you’ve mastered the art of a bargain hunt.

Turboant V8 Removable Battery

Why We Recommend It:

While the models that have preceded it in this guide have all wielded a 350W motor, the V8 barges into the conversation with a 36V 450W bronco. This additional power is somewhat nullified by its added weight, but we’re still talking about a top speed of 20 mph and an acceleration rate from 0-15 mph in 6.3 seconds.

Turboant V8 Handgrip and Throttle

Sure, these stats aren’t going to leave you in dumbfounded awe – the V8 certainly isn’t the quickest scooter we’ve tested in the sub $800 price category (this title belongs to the Horizon 10.4) – but it’s more than suitable for most urban environments and newcomers who place convenience above all else.

Where the V8 truly gets tongues wagging, is in its groundbreaking battery capacity. Similar to the Turboant X7 Max, it comes with a detachable 36V 7.5Ah battery on the stem. The similarities end there, though; with the V8 you also get a second battery stored in the deck. Together they give you a total maximum range of 50 miles, with the potential of extending that further by purchasing a second detachable battery. This is a remarkable capability for a scooter under $800.

Turboant V8 Battery Being Removed

Now, the V8 is at the heavier end of the 20 mph electric scooter spectrum. While we can’t moan about that (two batteries, folks), this added baggage does somewhat inhibit its hill-climbing capabilities. If you plan on riding over gentle undulations then the V8 will happily take them in its stride – anything steeper, however, and you’ll quickly notice a drop in power.

Turboant V8 Geometric Chassis

But hey, back to the positives. Turboant is the Adam Sandler of scooter brands. You know exactly what you’re getting every time: fun that you don’t have to think too hard about. Thanks to a pair of 9.3-inch pneumatic tires and its rear suspension, you’ll enjoy every mile of its range. Combined with the bulky frame, this combo delivers a well-balanced and confidence-inspiring ride that oozes control. On most urban roads the V8 soaks up the bumps and vibrations, leaving you to feel like you’re gliding along a perfectly smooth surface. The stem and folding mechanism are solid as a rock, too, thereby eliminating any rattles and stem wobble, even at 20 mph.

Turboant V8 Thick Frame

As with the X7 Max, the V8 has a dual braking system, with an electronic brake built into the front hub motor and a disc brake at the rear. Both operate simultaneously from the lever on the handlebars. Having the braking power funneled to each wheel usually enhances braking performance, however, under our certified tests, we were only able to achieve a stopping distance of 4.7 meters from 15 mph. That’s not as impressive as the X7 Max’s 3.0 meters, but it does stand up to other similarly priced models.

Turboant V8 Disc Brake

Though the V8’s boxy appearance may not be to all aesthetic tastes, one feature that does score style points is the large hexagonal display. It’s mounted in the center of the handlebars and provides a large area to display all the key riding data. One aspect that you won’t find on other scooters is the inclusion of responsive features. Here, the display responds to how hard you push on the accelerator or pull on the brake. For instance, if you pull lightly on the brakes, then just two out of the four brake bars will light up.

Turboant V8 Brake Lever

And let’s not go too hard on the V8’s looks; its chunkiness improves the scooter’s balance, making it easier to ride than the X7 Max which is a little top-heavy because of its stem-mounted battery. The solidly built frame is also exceptionally durable and has been designed to minimize the need for maintenance.

On the other hand, it means that the 48 lbs of weight is slightly more than you might want if you’re looking for an everyday scooter. However, most riders will be happy to let this go thanks to the 3-second folding system, silky ride quality, and outstanding range.

Turboant V8 Folded

Indeed, the Turboant V8 has been developed for one, lofty purpose: to bring joy to mundane daily routines without causing any stress in the process. It’s a long-range mule that will delight those who value practicality above all else.

Summary:

The GMAX Ultra is a significant addition to the GoTrax line. Budget on price but not on features, it harnesses everything that made the G4 such a crowd-pleaser, then elevates it all with enhanced build quality and a bigger, better battery.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Frame

You get the same 350W motor – which let’s be honest, is still pretty small for a scooter with its price tag – but the superior LG battery wrestles back credibility to ensure that the GMAX Ultra is a model that performs beyond what we’ve come to expect from a GoTrax scooter.

Are there better alternatives out there? When it comes to speed and power, yes. But this is GoTrax, so you can be certain that your $849 outlay will buy reliability, durability, and a clutch of fun premium features.

Why We Recommend It:

The GMAX Ultra is the ultimate example of how good GoTrax are at making affordable scooters look and behave like something much more expensive. Everything from the matte black finish and green highlights to those big air-filled tires gives off the impression of a $1,000+ scooter.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Tire Tread

Yet, while the GMAX is well-built, comfortable to ride, and a real heavy-hitter when it comes to range, power is an issue. Sure, it can reach 20 mph – which is fine for the majority of everyday riders – but the reality is it falls behind the competition when it comes to acceleration.

For context, while the lower-priced Turboant X7 Max can go from 0 to 15 mph in 6.9 seconds, the heavier Ultra takes a lumbering 8.0 seconds. The villain here is the 350W motor. It means the GMAX Ultra is stricken with a lower power-to-weight ratio than the rest of the scooters in this lineup.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Entire Deck

But let’s give credit where credit’s due – and the LG battery is a great place to start. While many scooters are powered by cheap non-branded batteries, the Ultra stands out for its 36V 17.5Ah LG unit. An LG battery boasts premium cells that can maintain maximum performance for longer. While most batteries begin to lose their capacity after a couple of hundred charge cycles, an LG one will remain at its optimum for hundreds more. This isn’t just a pleasant extra; it’s a valuable addition that will save you time and money. Armed with this bad boy, you can expect a hugely impressive range of 45 miles if going easy on the throttle, or 24 miles when riding at full pelt.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Brake Lever

Now, while we’ve established that the GMAX Ultra is primed for long-range rides, rather than adrenaline-induced races, you’ll still be in constant need of a good set of brakes to adjust your speed and avoid other road users. Like most of GoTrax’s top-performing models, the Ultra comes with an electromagnetic brake at the front and a disc brake at the rear. Because the brake lever has been fitted with a sensor, the electronic brake kicks into action at the same time as the mechanical brake. Together, this dashing duo can bring you to a complete stop from 15 mph in 5.3 meters.

Unlike the Turboant V8 – arguably the GMAX Ultra’s most fierce rival – it doesn’t sport any suspension. However, this is largely mitigated by a set of lavish 10-inch, air-filled tires. As long as you stay on paved roads, cycle lanes, and paths, the tires soak up small bumps and vibrations.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Taillight

Adding to the GMAX’s comfort credentials is the elongated deck that is large enough to take up a secure and comfortable riding position, while the frame is constructed in a way that feels steady and stable, even when carving from side to side.

The drawback to the Ultra’s strengthened, wobble-free frame, though, is that at 46.3 lbs, it’s fairly heavier. The thin stem does make it easier to carry than scooters like the Turboant V8, though.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Folded

Although the handlebars don’t fold, the efficient folding mechanism succeeds in compacting the GMAX Ultra down to a size that is small enough to fit into most car trunks or store under a desk.

When it comes to the controls, you’ll find a large display unit in the center of the handlebars. This provides a straightforward way to read your speed, distance, and battery use. There’s also a set of simple buttons and a thumb throttle that let you control the digital lock, cruise control, riding mode, and lights. While the screen itself is one of the biggest you’ll find on a scooter at this price point, GoTrax hasn’t decided to ram it with information but instead keep it simple to make it easier to take in key information in one glance.

GoTrax GMAX Ultra Central Console

As for the rest of the GMAX’s features, the headlight is mounted high up on the stem, though we found it wasn’t bright enough to illuminate a comforting portion of the way ahead. And so, if you want to take your scooter out after dark, we recommend getting a set of additional clip-on lights. Other features do not disappoint, however, including the IPX4 water-resistance rating and the built-in cable lock.

This is an outstanding entry-level scooter for riders who want to get started with a comfortable, reliable model that brings a few extras to the table. It’s not the quickest, but you do get an LG battery, extra-long range, quick charging, and large air-filled tires. On balance, it just about warrants its price tag.

Summary:

The Apollo Air 2022, is another stunning update from the two-wheel wizards that brought you the City, the Ghost, and the Phantom. Boasting spectral beauty, best-in-class ride comfort, and incredible build quality, the Air 2022 is Apollo at its otherworldly best.

Having taken on customer feedback to identify flaws in the previous Air’s design, the brand set out to exorcise them and bring new upgrades into the equation. We are huge fans of this approach; it feels like a real community project; a scooter of the people.

Josh on Apollo Air 2022

The sleek Apollo Air 2022 has got some of the cleanest lines you’re ever going to see on an electric scooter, but that’s not all. It has a 500W rear hub motor paired with a 21700 15Ah, deck-mounted lithium battery. Together they can deliver a 21 mph top speed and 31 miles of range. If you have $1,000 to spare then we’d urge you to see what all the fuss is about for yourself. The results speak for themselves.

Why We Recommend It:

Apollo electric scooters are among the best you can get; not only do they offer game-changing build quality, but performance, too. Based on Apollo’s much-loved Air Pro, the Air 2022 smashes all previous expectations with more power, more speed, and more range.

Apollo Air 2022 vs Apollo Air 2021

The 500W brushless motor and 36V 15Ah battery represent significant improvements over the 350W motor and 36V 10.4AH battery seen on previous models. In addition, it comes with front fork suspension, 10-inch pneumatic tires, a built-in smart power management system, and an IP54 water-resistance certification.

With a 17% faster acceleration rate than the Turboant X7 Max, the Air 2022 can go from 0 to 15 mph in just 5.7 seconds. While there are scooters that outperform it, bring the Air’s speed, range, and sumptuous ride quality into focus and it’s clear that this is an excellent all-rounder with more to offer.

Apollo Air 2022 Rear Motor

The Air 2022’s performance is perfectly counterbalanced by a dual braking system consisting of a front drum brake and a rear electronic regenerative brake. Together they provide a stopping distance of just 3.4 meters from 15 mph. While other scooters in this list activate their dual brakes with a single lever, the Air 2022 has a separate brake lever and regenerative braking thumb paddle. This allows you effectively brake by only engaging the mechanical brake when necessary. Ultimately, by using the regen brake as your primary force of stopping power, you prolong the battery life since it recycles wasted energy.

Apollo Air 2022 Regen Paddle

Looking at the Air 2022 is akin to being absorbed by the intricacies of an expensive Swiss clock. First, you see its aesthetic beauty; but the sleek appearance doesn’t give any hint of the incredible engineering that lurks below the surface. This is particularly the case when it comes to ride quality. In some cases, comfortable electric scooters have huge tires, shock-absorbing suspension, and well-built frames. The Air 2022 is so well put together that you might forget the front fork suspension and 10-inch air-filled tires are there. But they are, and they deliver a silky smooth ride that is best-in-class.

Apollo Air 2022 Front Fork Suspension

Apollo describes the Air 2022 as ideal for strolling around the block or speeding through the city. While they don’t classify it as a commuter scooter – perhaps out of snobbery – it’s perfectly suited to this purpose. Weighing only 38.5 lbs and featuring a characteristically smooth folding mechanism, you’ll have no problem carrying it, storing it, or even traveling with it on public transport.

Apollo Air 2022 Simple Folding Mechanism

One of the Air’s most notable draws, however, is its ability to integrate with the Apollo app. By downloading the app, you unlock a host of customization options, including:

  • Adjusting the strength of the regenerative brake and acceleration
  • Tweaking your top speed, as well as the speed of each riding mode
  • Turning cruise control on and off, and setting the time it takes before it automatically kicks in
  • Turning the digital lock on and off, which immobilizes the scooter by applying the electronic brake
  • Turning the lights on and off, which effectively illuminate the way ahead
  • Changing your units of measurement
  • Toggling between kick-to-start and zero-start modes

Apollo City 2022 Mobile App

With all that the Air 2022 has to offer, it's easy to see why it’s so popular. When it comes to the sheer joy and comfort of riding an electric scooter, this graceful firecracker is tough to top.
