Summary

If you’re on a limited budget but crave the jaw-dropping adrenaline rush of high-performance scootering, this speed demon is your golden ticket. Sporting ferociously large dual 1200W motors that combine effortlessly with two 40A controllers to produce a peak power output of 5400W, the Wolf Warrior is the undisputed leader of the pack when it comes to 50 mph electric scooters under $3,000.

Thrill-seekers rejoice, for this affordable beast carries one heck of a bite. Capable of hitting 50 mph with ease, the Wolf Warrior reaches 15 mph in a gum-slapping 1.9 seconds to leave even experienced riders nodding their heads in dazed approval. Quite simply, it is one of the zippiest scooters money can buy – regardless of price.

Why We Recommend It:

And not only is the Wolf Warrior a Usain Bolt on wheels – thanks to its mammoth 60V 35Ah LG battery, this beast has the stamina of Mo Farah, too. Its top range of 70 miles on eco mode is noteworthy; though let’s face it, you’re not considering the Warrior for anything other than turbo-charged, cosmos-shattering speed.

Josh on Wolf Warrior

Well, even with both motors engaged and the throttle ripped to within an inch of its life, this alpha will still propel you up to 35-40 miles – you also have the option of using just one of its snarling motors, so it’s fair to say that when it comes to range, this Warrior leads from the front. The battery can be recharged to full in 17 hours, or 7-10 hours if you use its two charging ports.

Wolf Warrior Sidelight Button

Predictably, the Wolf Warrior also makes mincemeat of hills. In fact, inclines of up to 30-degrees are easy prey for this relentless predator. Forest trails, mountainous routes, and undulating, grassy terrain are all within its territory.

Wolf Warrior Rear Tire

And as with every model manufactured by Kaabo, the Wolf Warrior is built with rider comfort front of mind. This scooter will make any terrain feel like a velvety carpet, thanks to its peerless motorcycle-grade hydraulic suspension system on the front and dual springs in the rear. Supporting this knock-out combination are a pair of chunky off-road tires that retain a vice-like grip on all surfaces to provide added cushioning.

Wolf Warrior Fork Suspension

A scooter with this unbridled speed and power needs a braking system that can go toe to toe. The Wolf Warrior does not disappoint. Kaabo has installed a pair of hydraulic brake discs on the front and rear that guarantee a quick and reliable stop even in the most hair-raising of environments. Using the left handlebar lever to decelerate and the right to stop completely, we found this system to be incredibly efficient (just make sure to always squeeze the left lever first if you want to avoid doing a triple-somersault into bushes). An anti-lock braking system adds an extra layer of control to an already reliable setup.

Wolf Warrior Rear Hydraulic Disc Caliper

Indeed, everywhere you look, the Wolf Warrior is built for durability. Its frame is the spiritual kin of Sylvester Stallone, making it the indomitable king of the ring when it comes to harsher off-road terrains. We’re particularly impressed by the robust stem, which, anchored by a great locking pin, wouldn’t even wobble in a landslide.

Wolf Warrior Safety Pin

The deck, too, is purpose-built for off-roading. Spacious and grippy, it supports any size and shape and comes with a reinforced kickplate that affords even more control when steering and stopping.

Wolf Warrior Wide Deck

This sense of security and control is bolstered further by the wide 24.6-inch handlebars, which are around 7 inches wider than your regular commuter scooter.

Wolf Warrior Handlebars Head On

And these handlebars come replete with a feast of premium features, too. For starters, you have the smart EYE throttle display, which not only allows you to monitor your speed, battery voltage, and driving mode, but also play around with settings such as zero or kick-start, the amount of motor torque, and the anti-lock braking system. You can also seamlessly switch between Eco and Turbo modes, cruise control, and single or dual motor modes, making the Wolf Warrior a real trailblazer in adaptability – it can be tweaked to serve any need.

Wolf Warrior EYE Display

Rounding off its impressive array of features is perhaps the brightest headlight on any scooter – it’s rare for us to say this, but you do not need to buy any additional lights here. This miniature star is backed up by swag deck lights, a piercing taillight, and a howling horn to ensure you can ride at any time and in any condition.

Wolf Warrior Bright Headlights

This versatility is buttressed by the Warrior’s IPX4 water-resistance rating – another rarity among high-performance scooters – meaning you can take it for a blast come rain or shine – just be careful in slippier conditions.

To wrap things up, the Wolf Warrior’s combination of ferocious speed and power, robust build quality, and premium features establish it as the Big Bad Wolf of scooters under $3,000. Sure, it’s heavy at 101 lbs and it’s not the best for portability, but we’re not talking commuter scooters here.

Wolf Warrior Folded

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly 50 mph gladiator with enough bite to raise the heckles, the Wolf Warrior is manna from heaven.

Summary

As we’ve already established, the original Wolf Warrior is a top-performer as an off-road, high-performance scooter that costs less than $3,000. But, if your budget can stretch a little further, the Warrior GT brings the same teeth and claws, but with the addition of an array of upgrades that elevate it into the next-generation category. This is a scooter designed to push boundaries.

To start, the dual 1200W motors remain as ferocious as ever, but this time round they are accompanied by improved Sine Wave 40A controllers to introduce even smoother control when accelerating and climbing hills. In short, the vicious speed and power of the Warrior has been channeled into something more elegant and refined with the GT.

Able to reach its top speed of 50 mph without breaking a sweat, the GT’s rocket-fuelled acceleration and torque may sound intimidating on the surface – but here’s where those Sine Wave controllers come into effect. Even at its most brutal moments, the GT feels buttery smooth, with the same motorcycle-grade suspension system and hydraulic brakes that were much-loved highlights on the original Warrior adding additional layers of comfort and security. Regardless of terrain – and the GT really does master anything you can throw at it – the ride quality on offer is next-level.

Why We Recommend It:

As with all Wolf models, the battery sported by the GT is of superb quality; but here again, upgrades are evident.

While it wields the same 60V 35Ah LG pack as its predecessor, the GT boasts higher-quality 21700 cells and a superior battery management system, meaning it can be fully juiced from empty in just 8-10 hours with two included chargers. If you fancy purchasing two additional fast chargers, this time can be reduced even further to an applaudable 4 hours.

You can expect a maximum range of 60 miles from the GT’s massive battery, though if like us, and your real joie de vivre is pushing a scooter to its limits, 35 miles is more realistic. What’s more, the 21700 cells ensure more efficient energy use per ride and maintain peak performance for longer than the 18650 cells found in the original Wolf Warrior.

The GT’s power, acceleration, and torque can be effortlessly altered via one of its most notable improvements on the Warrior: the next-gen, full-color TFT display. Mounted in the center of the handlebars (which we’ll come to in a moment), the console lets you monitor all your vital stats in even the brightest sunlight, while additional controls and the smooth thumb throttle allow you to serenely shift between riding modes, single/dual motor use, and a smorgasbord of advanced settings such as motor torque, anti-lock braking, and start modes. Everything you see has been designed to maximize rider control across all types of terrain.

Now, back to those handlebars. The Warrior’s were wide – but these bad boys ramp things up to another level. Kaabo has focused on enhanced rider control here, with the bars working in cahoots with an elongated stem and reinforced kickplate to maximize steering and general peace of mind – even at top speeds. This is backed up by the large, grippy deck and insanely robust frame – while crucially, the GT also sports improved 11-inch self-repairing tubeless tires, which can be purchased in an off-road or street variant.

Lighting is an area where the Wolf models have always excelled, and the GT once again does not disappoint. Its dual headlights are bright enough to illuminate a stadium, while the swaggy LED deck lighting that elevated the Warrior to style icon status remains. This time, however, there are front and rear turn signals, which are a hugely welcomed string to the GT’s bow. An effervescent taillight joins the fray to ensure you are visible from any direction.

And the upgrades don’t end there. See, the GT comes with a full IPX5 water-resistance rating, distinguishing it as a true all-weather, all-terrain apex predator. For added context, our independent research shows that 71% of electric scooters are equipped with water resistance ratings. This figure is up from 40% in 2021.

Just don’t expect a portable scooter when purchasing the GT. Its 115 lbs bulk makes carrying it around implausible, while it’s anything but compact when folded. But, like its sibling, the GT is designed for extremes. It’s a beast – and it needs to be with the power and speed it can summon.

So, there you have – the heavy-duty but stylishly elegant Wolf Warrior GT. Is its loftier price tag worth it over the more affordable Warrior? Yes. The ride quality is an extra notch above thanks to those Sine Wave controllers, while the next-gen display and improved battery management system are touches of class. Ultimately, while you can’t go wrong with the Wolf Warrior, if you want a taste of what the future of high-performance scooters looks like, the GT is worth every cent.

ELECTRICSCOOTERINSIDER100

Summary

The NAMI Burn-e 2 Max completely rewrote the rule book upon its launch. It raised the bar to a height that competitors – yes, even Dualtron – have so far been unable to reach. But it also came with a hefty price tag. So, what has NAMI gone and done? They’ve once again listened to the community of course and released a way more affordable, slightly less powerful little sibling: The Burn-e 2.

Now, when we say slightly less powerful, let’s be real. The Burn-e 2 retains the capacity to leave you in a gooey, awe-struck reverie. Thanks to its dual 1000W motors, which combined with superb Sine Wave controllers can produce a peak power output of 5040W, it will still leave you as dumbfounded as a slap across the face from Will Smith.

Josh With the NAMI Burn-e 2

The Burn-e 2’s top speed of 45 mph may sound relatively unremarkable compared to the others on this list, but its breakneck acceleration of 0-15 mph in 1.7 seconds means that there is no discernible difference between the Burn-e 2 and its legendary competitors. In fact, it's faster than all of its competitors up to 30 mph.

NAMI Burn-e 2 Chassis

All things considered, for $3,399 the NAMI Burn-e 2 is an absolute steal – it’s almost implausible for a scooter of this quality to be available at this price. If we didn’t already have it, we would buy this scooter in a heartbeat.

Why We Recommend It:

Aside from having smaller motors, the most notable difference between the Burn-e 2 and the Max (its more powerful sibling), is that the former has a 28Ah battery (vs 32Ah). This smaller size means it has a shorter range of 90 miles compared to the Max’s 100 miles. But again, let’s be real: by any other metric, 90 miles is insanely good. Few scooters – regardless of price – can match its stamina (including those of its 50 mph competitors).

NAMI Burn-e 2 Frame From Rear

So, what about ride quality? We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – nobody can touch NAMI when it comes to silky smooth rides. The exceptional 165 mm hydraulic coil-shocks retain the otherworldly shock absorption and rebound damping of its sibling, which, supplemented by the super-sized, tubeless tires, make any terrain feel like a buttery smooth, high-speed frolic. And what’s more, the springs and damping can be adjusted for any weight, positioning the Burn-e 2 as a perfect option for all riders up to 330 lbs. Honestly, NAMI’s suspension system simply puts everyone else in the shade.

NAMI Burn-e 2 Rebound Dial

But of course, any rider will want more assurances than – albeit, incredible – suspension alone. Thankfully, the NAMI Burn-e 2 retains all that is good about its stablemates – and even offers a few improvements. The LOGAN hydraulic disc brakes remain as crushingly powerful as ever, even if they’ve been reduced from 4 pistons down to 2, while the giant, grippy deck offers enough space to always feel secure and steady.

NAMI Burn-e 2 Rear Disc Brake

What’s more, the stem is slightly longer meaning that the handlebars are half an inch higher – which is great for taller riders. Plus, the steering column now connects to a steering damper (included for free) for increased control. This is a huge improvement over the original Burn-e Viper, which was prone to stem instability at top speeds. There is none of that here: the Burn-e 2 feels safe, secure, and sturdy even at the full 45 mph. Everything about this model screams comfort and control.

NAMI Burn-e 2 Steering Damper

This extends to the hand-welded tubular frame, which hits that sweet spot between being robust and boasting an aesthetic that’ll grab the attention of everyone that you ride past. The fact that it dons an enigmatic matte-black finish is, for us, the cherry on top of the cake.

NAMI Burn-e 2 Kickplate

No guide to a NAMI scooter would be complete without an ode to the industry-leading display located in the center of the handlebars. What makes it special is the suite of groundbreaking customization options, where you can view, control, and personalize almost every kind of data point.

NAMI Burn-e 2 Display

Unlike Dualtron models, NAMI allows riders to switch between various modes and create personalized riding profiles, meaning you can ease into any ride in a way that caters to your preferences. Everything is buttery smooth – from the throttle response to the torque. And of course, there’s also the option of speed-regulated cruise control, a 4-digit security password, and access to a hidden USB charging port.

NAMI Burn-e 2 USB Charging Port

When it comes to lighting, the Burn-e 2 doesn’t quite match up to the undisputed champion, the Wolf Warrior GT. But its headlight is still more than bright enough for fast night rides, while added mood lights, a beaming taillight, and effective turn signals establish it as a perfectly safe scooter for both cities and off-roading.
